Alstom inaugurates today a new control room to maintain regional trains at Alstom Transports site in Sesto San Giovanni.  The control room benefits from Alstoms experience in the predictive maintenance made on high-speed trains.

214 Minuetto regional trains from Trenitalia have been tested during a full year. It is now fully operational and will serve a total of 250 regional trains, including the fleet of Coradia Meridian (Jazz) for Trenitalia and the ones for Ferrovie Nord Milano.

Alstom Use TrainTracer for Maintenance Operations

The control room is equipped with TrainTracer, an Alstom solution that enables preventive and corrective maintenance operations. The control room is also equipped with Railsys, a software which enables to manage the repair and maintenance process by monitoring wear of components and scheduling replacements and repairs.

The maintenance of the regional trains involves also the Savigliano site for engineering support as well as the 22 maintenance depots in Italy where Alstom operates in collaboration with its customers.
