Tunnelling Breakthrough on Australian North West Rail Link

Tunnelling machine Elizabeth was the first to break through today on the New Showground Station Site on Australia’s North West Rail Link, Elizabeth is one of four boring machines working on the project.

Eight New Stations

The NSW Government also revealed the new cutting-edge design for Showground one of eight new railway stations being delivered on the $8.3 billion project. Showground station is being built underground with platforms about 20 m beneath the surface, providing access to existing residential development, the Castle Hill Showground and nearby employment areas.
